Lamar alum impressive in McPherson College hoops win
Lamar High School graduate Samson Shivers scored 25 points to help McPherson College to an 82-47 win over Ottawa University in men's hoops action on Thursday.
The sophomore guard also tallied four rebounds and a steal in the win.
Shivers earned varsity letters twice at Lamar High School where he averaged 23 points, five assists and five rebounds a game during his senior season.
He was named first-team All-District and participated in the Play It Smart Club at Lamar.
He is the son of Gregory and Paralee Shivers.
