Four Houston-area residents are among the 642,000 social workers who will be honored in March as part of the National Professional Social Work Month.

Houston Solari Hospice Care’s social workers do everything from counsel people in how to deal with loss, grief and trauma to helping them improve their quality of life.

A key role these social workers have is preparing families for the death of a friend or family member.
