Houston Police Department educates museum patrons about crime prevention

The Houston Museum of Natural Science, 5800 Caroline St., Houston, hosted officers from the Houston Police Department’s South Central Patrol Division, who were on hand to offer crime prevention tips to museum patrons.

The officers gave their presentation in both English and Spanish. They encouraged patrons to exercise common sense and to be aware of their surroundings. They also recommended that people not leave belongings in vehicles in plain sight.

The presentation is part of the police department's annual March on Crime initiative.
