Paintings by Latin American masters to come to Museum of Fine Arts Houston
The Museum of Fine Arts Houston will host a special exhibition of 39 paintings on loan from the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires, on display April 22 through Aug. 5.
"Modern and Contemporary Masterworks from Malba-Fundación Costantini" will be displayed on the ground floor of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston's Beck Building, located at 5601 Main St. The exhibit will feature artworks by a wide range of well-known and lesser-known Latin American artists, including Diego Rivera, Tarsila do Amaral, Wifredo Lam, Frida Kahlo and Jorge de la Vega.
The loan of the "Modern and Contemporary Masterworks from Malba-Fundación Costantini" exhibit is part of an ongoing artistic exchange program between the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires.
