Houston Women's Soccer Association to host Oktoberfest tournament

The Houston Women's Soccer Association will host its Oktoberfest 2012 Soccer Tournament on Saturday Oct. 13 and Sunday, Oct. 14 at the Houston Amateur Sports Park.

A total of 25 players on each team, with five guest players, will be eligible for the women's soccer tournament. Teams will be assigned to divisions.

Early team registration is $300 with team applications received by Friday, Sept. 21. Regular registration is $350 with team applications received by Friday, Oct. 5.

The sponsor for the tournament is Action Physical Therapy of Bellaire, Memorial, Missouri City and Sugar Land.

HWSA has been promoting women's amateur soccer in the greater Houston area since 1976 and added a coed league in 1994, according to the league's website.
